Parmeniskos, Enkeldes - - -, entsandt als Richterwerber zuden Alindern, die vertraut und wohlgesonnenunserem Volk sind, bei ihnen vor dem Ratund der Volksversammlung auftrat und in einer Rede überdie einzelnen Punkte mit allem Eifer und Beharrlichkeitdarauf drang, dass der Stadt zwei Richterund ein Sekretär gegeben würden, und zwar treffliche undbei ihnen Vertrauen genießende Männer; und er seinenAufenthalt in einer Weise gestaltete, die beider Städte würdig war,wovon von allem die Alinder Zeugnis abgelegt haben inder ihm übergebenen Antwort; und er die Männerempfing und nach ihrer Ankunft in unserer Stadt alleMühe und Fürsorge aufwandte, indem er sich auchder Richterbetreuung beharrlich und gerechtannahm gemäß seinem Eid, bis erledigt waren dieöffentlichen und privaten Rechtsfälle; erdabei unparteiisch und gerecht und allen gegenüber integerdas ihm vom gesamten Volk übertrageneVertrauen bewahrte, zusätzlich Gelder aufwandteaus eigenen Mitteln für den Aufenthalt der Richter und ihnen beiden öffentlichen Festen Geschenke machtezum jeweils geeigneten Zeitpunkt imallgemeinen Interesse; und damit nun auch das Volkin sichtbarer Weise den trefflichen Männern mit Dankbarkeit begegnet,und die anderen, indem sie die Dankbarkeitder Bevölkerung sehen, sich noch viel bereitwilliger fürdie Interessen der Stadt hergeben, - - -- - -
